“Coron is all about tours.”
YES.
I totally agree with this.
I mean, there’s the tiny town of Busuanga, where you’re staying.
There’s nothing much to do there, except the Maquinit Hot Spring and Mount Tapyas.

Secret Beach in Coron, Cabo: Fun Facts

Before we dive right into Coron’s secret beach and what you can expect there, let’s talk about some fun stuff about the place.
Cabo Beach Fun Fact #1: Coron’s Secret Beach Faces Coron Island
If you’ve been to Coron, you know that the island of Coron is a 30-minute boat ride from the main tourist town, Busuanga.
You might also have heard that Coron Island is shaped like a sleeping giant.
Well, get ready to feast on this amazing sight!
When you visit Cabo Beach, you’ll be facing the island itself.
It’s a wondrous sight: blurry blue shadow, the outline of trees in the distance, the face of the giant stark against the sky.
Because Coron Island blocks Cabo Beach from the ocean, the bay-like waters of the beach are mostly still.
If you love to wade in perfectly motionless water while training your eyes on the soft blue-green of mountains, this is the spot for you.
Cabo Beach Fun Facts #2: It’s a Beach for the Locals
Are you the type of person who’s not a huge fan of tourist-y areas?
You love to observe local culture untainted by industry.
You like watching people in their element, doing their everyday things.
If this is you, you’ll enjoy Cabo Beach.
It’s a place where families get together to celebrate a kid’s birthday.
It’s a place where friends flock around the karaoke machine they brought.
It’s a place where lovers cuddle up to each other with their feet in the water.
This slow, quiet beach is unlike the bustle of the town.
If you want to get your taste of local culture, this is the place to go.
Cabo Beach Fun Fact #3: You Don’t Need to Worry About Deep Water
Brought the kids along?
Not a fan of swimming?
Don’t worry.
The waters of Cabo Beach are super shallow for a great distance.
You can walk in shin-deep water for a long time without worrying that you’ll be engulfed in it.
