Getting to Siquijor is confusing.
With NO commercial airport on the island, this isn’t a place you can just hop on a plane to any time.
Instead, you’ll need to know which planes to ride, which busses to take, and what time the ferries leave.
But don’t worry!
In this article, I’ll go over ALL the ways to get to Siquijor from ANYWHERE in the Philippines.
I’ll show you how to get to Siquijor from:
Not only that, but I’ll also show you how to get to Siquijor from other popular tourist spots like:
There’s a lot to cover so let’s jump right in!
Siquijor’s Entry Points
Before we jump into the travel routes, let’s first take a look at Siquijor’s entry points.
Siquijor has two major ports — Siquijor Port and Larena Port.
Siquijor Port is more popular for travelers.
It’s closer to the main tourist zone (San Juan) and generally has more boats coming in than Larena.
Meanwhile, Larena is a bit further away from San Juan. Siquijor Port is only 10km away from San Juan, while Larena is a full 20km away.
However, both are great options for entering Siquijor. Just keep in mind that there are two ports to avoid confusion later on!
With that said, let’s take a look at the routes!
How to Get to Siquijor From Manila
✈️ Fly from Manila to Dumaguete | 1 hour | (Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines)
🛺 Tricycle to Dumaguete Port | 15 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor Port | 40 minutes | OceanJet (book online)
That is the fastest way to get to Siquijor from Manila!
Both Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have direct flights to Dumaguete airport.
Once you arrive in Dumaguete, there’ll be a BUNCH of tricycles waiting for you. Take one to Dumaguete Port — this should cost you about php200 if you get the entire tricycle for yourself.
There are MANY boats from Dumaguete Port to Siquijor.
I generally recommend tourists take the OceanJet ferry since that’s the fastest and probably the most modern boat there is.
However, if you can’t catch the OceanJet ferry, I’ll add a full ferry schedule below (click here to jump to it).
Alternatively, you can also fly from Manila to Cebu City and make your way to Siquijor from there.
It’s longer, but flights are generally cheaper to Cebu City compared to Dumaguete.
If you choose that, here’s how to do it:
How to Get to Siquijor From Cebu City
There are generally FIVE ways to get to Siquijor from Cebu City. All have their pros and cons, so let’s take a look at each one!
#1: Best Route:
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
This is not only the fastest route without flying, but it’s also the most straightforward.
I generally prefer taking the OceanJet ferry since it docks in Siquijor Port. Meanwhile, the SuperCat ferry docks in Larena Port.
Both ferries have a quick 30-minute layover in Bohol before continuing to Siquijor, which brings the total travel time to about 4.5 hours.
(Note: SuperCat trips are temporarily suspended until further notice! Check the online booking link above to know if they’re back.)
#2: Direct Ferry:
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Direct ferry to Larena Pier | 10 hours | Lite Shipping
There’s a direct ferry from Cebu City to Larena.
The boat takes about 10 hours to get to its destination, so it’s quite a long journey. However, it is cheaper than taking the fast craft via Bohol.
#3: Direct Bus:
🚕 Taxi to South Bus Terminal | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🚌 Direct bus to Siquijor | 7 – 8 hours | Ceres Liner
If long bus rides are your thing, you’ll like this route!
The bus drives from Cebu City to Liloan Port in the tip of Cebu. There it rides a slow ferry to Larena. Finally, the bus makes its way around Siquijor.
This is a fairly new route that only leaves on select days. Right now the schedule is Monday to Friday at 8 pm, and Sundays at 1 am. You can check Ceres Liner’s official Facebook page for updates.
There’s no need to book in advance.
However, it’s best to show up an hour to 30 minutes before departure since this isn’t something you want to miss!
#4: Most Flexible:
🚕 Taxi to South Bus Terminal | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🚌 Direct bus to Dumaguete City | 5 – 6 hours
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 40 minutes | OceanJet (book online)
If you take a bus to Dumaguete, you’ll find that this route is the most flexible and the least reliant on scheduling.
There’s a bus leaving for Dumaguete roughly every 1 or 1.5 hours.
The bus to Dumaguete passes right in front of Dumaguete port, so you can just hop off there and ride a boat for Siquijor.
I’ll put the boat schedules from Dumaguete to Siquijor in the next section (click here to jump).
#5: “Fastest” Route:
✈️ Fly from Cebu to Dumaguete | 45 minutes | (Cebu Pacific)
🛺 Tricycle to Dumaguete Port | 15 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor Port | 40 minutes | OceanJet (book online)
This isn’t the most practical option.
But if you’re already at the airport and want to get to Siquijor as fast as possible, this makes sense.
Also, while this is technically the fastest route in terms of travel time — don’t forget to factor in your wait time at the airport!
How to Get to Siquijor From Dumaguete
Make your way to Dumaguete Port. There are several fast crafts and RORO (roll-on roll-off) boats from there to Siquijor.
Fastcrafts generally take around 40 minutes, while RORO boats take about 1.5 hours to get to the island.
Generally, for travelers, I recommend getting on the OceanJet fast craft. But if the schedule doesn’t suit you, any of the options work just fine!

How to Get to Siquijor from Moalboal
🚌 Bus to Bato | 1.5 hours
🛺 Tricycle or Bus to Liloan Port | 10 minutes
🛥️ Fast Ferry to Sibulan | 20 minutes | Cuadro Alas
🛺 Tricycle or Bus to Dumaguete Port | 20 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 40 minutes | OceanJet (book online)
On paper, this route might sound complicated.
But once you’re on the ground, it actually makes a lot of sense. I also threw a map up there to help you understand it better.
From Moalboal, head to the highway and catch a southbound bus to Bato.
Once you arrive, hop on a tricycle or another southbound bus to Liloan Port. And ride the Cuardo Alas Navigation boat (there’s one leaving roughly every hour).
From Sibulan, take either a tricycle or bus to Dumaguete Port.
Once you’re there, you can ride a direct ferry to Siquijor. Check the schedules above!
Alternatively, you can also take this route:
🚌 Bus to Bato Port | 1.5 hours
🛥️ Ferry to Tampi | 30 minutes | Maayo Shipping
🚌 Bus to Dumaguete Port | 40 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 40 minutes | OceanJet (book online)
The difference here is once you arrive in Bato, instead of taking a tricycle to Liloan Port, you make your way to Bato Port — which is just 600m away from the Bato Bus Stop.
From there, you can take a Maayo Shipping ferry to Tampi Port in Negros Oriental.
There are no fast boats from Bato to Tampi. The RORO only takes 30 minutes though, so it’s not too big of a difference.
However, Tampi Port is further away from Dumaguete City than Sibulan Port, which is why I recommend riding the ferry from Liloan if possible.
Now, last but not least, there’s one more way to get to Siquijor from Moalboal:
🚌 Bus to Bato | 1.5 hours
🛺 Tricycle or Bus to Liloan Port | 10 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Larena, Siquijor | 3 hours | Maayo Shipping
There is a direct ferry from Liloan Port to Larena Port in Siquijor.
However, this ferry only leaves once a day, and it usually leaves at 2 am — so it’s not the most practical for travelers.
Also, keep in mind that Larena is farther away from Siquijor’s main tourist zone (San Juan) than Siquijor Port.
Anyway, here’s the boat schedules:
Liloan to Larena Schedule (Updated Mar. 7, 2025)
Frequency | Time | Booking |
Tuesday, Wednesday. Thursday, Friday & Saturday | 2:00 am | In-person only |
Sunday | 7:00 am | In-person only |
How to Get to Siquijor from Oslob
🚌 Bus to Liloan Port | 20 – 30 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Sibulan | 20 minutes | Cuadro Alas
🛺 Tricycle or Bus to Dumaguete Port | 20 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 40 minutes | OceanJet (book online)
There are two ways to get to Siquijor from Oslob.
This one is the more flexible option since countless buses and ferries are plying this route.
From Oslob hail a southbound bus to Liloan Port.
If you’re coming from Oslob town, the trip should take you about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, if you’re coming from the Whale Shark watching area, this should only take you 20 minutes.
From Liloan Port, you can either take the Maayo Shipping slow boat (30 minutes) or the Cuadro Alas fast craft (20 minutes) to Sibulan.
From Sibulan, take a tricycle or a bus to Dumaguete Port.
From there, hop on one of the many ferries that’ll take you to Siquijor. I usually recommend OceanJet (the most modern) to travelers. But any of the options are okay if OceanJet doesn’t fit your schedule.
You can scroll up to see the ferry schedules from Dumaguete to Siquijor (click here to jump).
Direct Ferry:
🚌 Bus to Liloan Port | 20 – 30 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Larena, Siquijor | 3 hours | Maayo Shipping
Alternatively, you can also take the direct ferry from Liloan Port to Larena Port in Siquijor.
However, there’s only one ferry a day from Liloan to Larena, and it usually leaves at 2 am!
That’s why I generally don’t recommend this route for travelers (passing via Dumaguete makes more sense).
Once again, scroll up to see the exact Liloan-Larena schedule!
How to Get to Siquijor From Bohol
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor or Larena | 2 hours | OceanJet, Apekop, and SuperCat (book online)
There are several boats that go from Bohol to Siquijor.
I generally recommend OceanJet, since that’s the one that docks in Siquijor Port (closer to the San Juan tourist zone).
However, Apekop and SuperCat aren’t bad. It’s just that they dock in Larena Port, which is further away from San Juan.
Anyway, here are the schedules!
Tagbilaran to Siquijor Fast Ferries (Updated Mar. 7, 2025)
Time | Company (Dock) | Online Booking |
7:30 am | OceanJet (Siquijor) | Book here! |
10:00 am | Apekop (Larena) | Book here! |

Note: SuperCat ferries are temporarily suspended. Check the booking links above to see if they’re sailing again!
How to Get to Siquijor from Camiguin
There’s NO direct ferry from Camiguin to Siquijor. Instead, you can get here via a flight to Cebu City or a ferry to Bohol.
Via Cebu City:
✈️ Fly to Cebu City | 45 minutes | (Cebu Pacific)
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
This is the fastest and most practical way to get to Siquijor from Camiguin.
If it feels clunky to pass through Cebu, that’s because it is 😂.
Unfortunately, there’s not enough demand to start a ferry route between these two islands (even though you can see Camiguin from Siquijor).
Oh wells!
Also, keep in mind that there are FIVE different ways to get from Cebu City to Siquijor. I listed the best way above, but you can check out the other four by scrolling up or clicking here.
The other way to get to Siquijor from Camiguin is via Bohol.
Via Bohol:
🛥️ Ferry to Jagna, Bohol | 4 hours | Super Shuttle (book online)
🚌 Bus to Tagbilaran City | 2 hours
🛺 Tricycle to Tagbilaran Port | 15 minutes
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor or Larena | 2 hours | OceanJet, Apekop, and SuperCat (book online)
There is a direct ferry from Camiguin to Jagna, Bohol.
The online booking for this trip sometimes goes offline, so you may want to check Super Shuttle’s Facebook page for updates.
From Jagna, hop on a bus bound for Tagbilaran City.
The buses stop at the Dao Terminal in Tagbilaran. So hop on a tricycle and ask them to take you to the port. This should take roughly 15 minutes depending on traffic (Tagbilaran traffic sucks!).
From there, you can choose between OceanJet, Apekop, or SuperCat to take you to Siquijor! Scroll up or click here to see the schedules!
How to Get to Siquijor From Siargao
✈️ Fly to Cebu City | 1 hour | (Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, Sunlight Air)
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to get from Siargao to Siquijor. The only reasonable way is to head to Cebu City first.
The fastest way to do this would be to fly there.
However, if you like slow travel and riding ferries, here’s an alternative route!
By Ferries:
🛥️ Ferry to Surigao City | 1.5 hours | Evaristo and Sons (book online)
🛥️ Ferry to Cebu City | 5.5 – 10 hours | OceanJet, Cokaliong, Starlite Ferries (book online)
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
The ferries from Siargao to Surigao City leave from Dapa Port, which is roughly 30 minutes away from General Luna.
Evaristo and Sons is the fastest and most popular shipping line. However, there are several other options (unfortunately they don’t have online booking so just show up at the port).
From Surigao City, OceanJet has a fast craft that leaves once a day and only takes about 5.5 hours to get to Cebu City.
Otherwise, you can take the overnight ferry (Cokaliong) or the day trip ferry (Starlite Ferries). Both of these take anywhere from 8 – 10 hours depending on sea conditions.
Finally, once you arrive in Cebu City, the best way to get to Siquijor would be to take the OceanJet ferry directly to Siquijor.
There are four other ways you can get to Siquijor from Cebu City which I listed above (jump here)!
How to Get to Siquijor From Coron
✈️ Fly to Cebu City | 1 hour | (Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, Sunlight Air)
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
Not much to say here!
There’s really no other reasonable way to get from Coron to Siquijor without flying to Cebu City.
Again, from Cebu City, you have five options to go to Siquijor.
I listed the best one above, but you can check the others out by scrolling up or clicking here.
How to Get to Siquijor From El Nido
The fastest way to get from El Nido to Siquijor is by flying into Cebu City and then taking a ferry to Siquijor from there.
✈️ Fly to Cebu City | 1.5 hours | (Airswift)
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
Airswift is the only airline that offers direct flights from El Nido to Cebu.
Their flights are generally more expensive than other carriers, which is why many people don’t prefer this route.
However, this is definitely the fastest way to do it!
Once you’re in Cebu City, take a taxi to Pier 1, and a ferry to Siquijor.
Also, there are other ways to get to Siquijor from Cebu City.
Taking a direct ferry is the best way to do it, but if you’d like to learn your other options, scroll up or click here!
Cheaper Route:
🚐 Van or Bus to Puerto Princessa | 5 – 6 hours | (book online)
✈️ Fly to Cebu City | 1 hour | (Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines)
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
There are dozens of vans that go from El Nido directly to the Puerto Princessa airport.
However, I prefer buses.
The drivers are less crazy, and the whole ride is generally more comfortable.
You can book vans and buses through your accommodation, any travel agency in El Nido, or online here.
The flights from Puerto Princessa to Cebu City are significantly cheaper than El Nido to Cebu City. And the airlines with this route are much more reliable than AirSwift.
That’s why if you’re okay with burning an extra 5-6 hours, this is definitely the way to go!
How to Get to Siquijor From Boracay
✈️ Fly to Cebu City | 1 hour | (Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, Sunlight Air)
🚕 Taxi to Pier 1 | 30 – 45 minutes from the airport
🛥️ Ferry to Siquijor | 4.5 hours | OceanJet or SuperCat (book online)
The only reasonable way to get from Boracay to Siquijor is to first fly into Cebu City, then make your way to Siquijor from there.
Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, and Sunlight Air all have flights from Caticlan (Boracay) to Cebu City, and flight time only takes an hour.
From Cebu City, there are a number of different ways you can get to Siquijor.
I recommend taking a taxi to Pier 1 and then hopping on a fast boat to Siquijor. This is the simplest and one of the fastest way to get to the island.
However, there are a couple of other options that you can check out by scrolling up to the Cebu City section, or by clicking here to jump to it!
