The best travel route for Moalboal, Bohol, and Boracay is to go:
- Moalboal
- Bohol
- Boracay
Hereβs how!
π¬ Getting to Moalboal (Cebu)
βοΈ Flight to Cebu City
π Taxi to South Bus Terminal | 30 – 45 minutes
π Bus to Moalboal | 2 – 3 hours
Notes:
- You don’t need to book a bus ahead. They don’t really have a schedule, but there’s one leaving roughly every 30 minutes.

β‘οΈ Moalboal to Bohol
Best Route
π Bus to Bato | 1.5 hours
π Bus to Quartel Beach, Oslob | 45 minutes
π₯οΈ Ferry to Panglao, Bohol | 1.5 hours | (book online)
Notes:
- From Moalboal, take a southbound bus to Bato. The trip takes about 1.5 – 2 hours. Then from Bato, take a bus bound for Cebu City via Oslob. Tell the conductor to drop you off at Quartel Beach, Oslob.
- This might sound complicated, but there are over 50 buses plying the Moalboal – Bato, and Bato – Oslob route, so it’s very easy to get on one.
- Once the bus drops you off, it’s a 400m walk to Quartel Beach from the highway.
- There is only one company (Apekop Travel) plying the Oslob to Panglao route. There are limited seats so I highly recommend booking ahead (you can book online here). The trip takes roughly 1.5 hours
Alternative Route
π Bus to Cebu City | 3 hours
π Taxi to Pier 1 | 15 minutes
π₯οΈ Ferry to Tagbilaran, Bohol | 2 hours | (book online)
Notes:
- This route is farther and longer, but it’s also more convenient since there are lots of boats from Cebu City to Tagbilaran. You can leave almost any time that you want.
- There are various companies and ports in Cebu City and Bohol. For travelers, I recommend taking OceanJet’s fast craft from Cebu Pier 1 to Tagbilaran City. You can book at the port or book online here.
